One Community.
One Challenge.
One Million Meals.
Food insecurity affects thousands of neighbors throughout West Central Texas every day.
- Children arrive at school hungry.
- Parents make impossible choices between groceries and bills.
- Older adults skip meals to afford medication.
But together, we can change that.
During Hunger Action Month, every gift, volunteer hour, workplace fundraiser, and community partnership helps strengthen food access across our region.
When our neighbors are fed, futures are nourished.

Ways to Join the Million Meals Challenge
Meet Tracie
Tracie knows firsthand what it means to need a little extra help. She receives food from the Food Bank of West Central Texas to help make ends meet—but her story doesn’t stop there.
Nearly every day, Tracie comes back to volunteer, helping distribute food to other neighbors facing many of the same challenges she does.
“I receive. I volunteer. I give back.”
This Hunger Action Month, your support helps neighbors like Tracie—and gives neighbors the opportunity to help one another.

Meet Eddie
Eddie knows what it means to have a little extra support when you need it. For him, the food he receives from the Food Bank of West Central Texas helps make life a little easier—and reminds him that his community is there for him.
When Eddie talks about the Food Bank, he describes that support simply: as a blessing in his life.
“It’s been a blessing.”
This Hunger Action Month, meet neighbors like Eddie and see what your support can mean in someone’s life.
