The Food Bank of West Central Texas is in the middle of the nationwide 2014 Hunger Study by organizing a large scale regional effort to interview hundreds of clients throughout different agencies in the area. Study results will be used to provide local and national statistics on how many people are hungry and the types of daily choices families need to make. The data collected will be part of a nationwide study that will be used for hunger education, advocacy, and public policy throughout the country.

Volunteers are being recruited to help conduct the nationwide 2014 Hunger Study – the most in-depth and comprehensive census of hunger in America that has been taken once every four years since 1993. As the Food Bank serving Taylor Co. and rural areas, the Food Bank of West Central Texas is organizing a large scale regional effort to interview hundreds of clients throughout different agencies in the area. Volunteers are needed from April through August and must be 18 years of age. Please Joy or Jessica at (325) 695-6311 if you are interested in volunteering.
